James Cummings
As CFO and CCO, Mr. Cummings leads the Accounting, Finance, and Compliance functions for Jaguar. Working with a dedicated internal team, as well as various third-party providers, Mr. Cummings oversees the quarterly valuation and reporting process, and assists the founding partners in managing business operations, investor relations, and partner matters.
Prior to Jaguar, Mr. Cummings spent 19 years at two publicly traded real estate companies, learning the details of the business from both a financial and operational perspective. Mr. Cummings spent nine years at Brookfield Properties’ retail division (formerly General Growth Properties), most recently leading all aspects of Property, Corporate, and Operations Accounting as the Chief Accounting Officer for the firm. Mr. Cummings also held various other roles in Finance and Accounting for Brookfield, where he was proactively engaged in collaboration efforts across the company during years of profound organizational and structural change, leading efforts to streamline budgeting, standardize reporting, and automate processes.
Prior to that, Mr. Cummings spent ten years at Equity Lifestyle Properties, during which time the company doubled its property count, adding an RV Property portfolio, a Vacation Membership business, and various Marinas to its already large Manufactured Home Community portfolio. Mr. Cummings played a key role in integrating the new properties/businesses as well as the systems, people, and processes involved.
Mr. Cummings is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois, holds a JD from John Marshall Law School, and is a graduate of Wabash College, where he earned a BA in Economics.
